Because every word has its importance, to make it easier for you to define and write the job of Social Auditor, we have prepared the main tasks of a Social Auditor.
The Social Auditor‘s task is to assess the relationship between the employees of a company and the management.
Social auditing plays a major role in the range of professions linked to human resources. It allows the analysis and control of the relations between the different elements of a company, particularly between employees and the general management.
This job, based on observation and listening, is a tool for assessing the overall quality of the working environment, the well-being and satisfaction of employees, and their ability to adapt to change. It is also responsible for ensuring that the company’s rules are respected and that internal communication is carried out correctly.
The social auditor may be directly attached to the management of the company where he or she works, or work for a consultancy firm on a one-off assignment. In this case, at the end of their observation period, they submit recommendations designed to improve human resources management within the company.
In regular contact with the company’s management as well as with its employees, the position of Social Auditor requires a great capacity for observation, listening and analysis in order to detect possible relational or organisational problems. Available and energetic, he/she knows how to create dialogue and synthesise it in order to provide an appropriate solution afterwards.
Access to this profession requires a 5-year degree in human resources. A degree that includes social auditing in its curriculum is highly recommended, if not essential. Before entering social auditing, a beginner will probably first have to work as an assistant in a consultancy firm. As companies are increasingly concerned about the well-being of their employees, there are many opportunities for recruitment, either internally or through a consultancy firm.
In terms of remuneration, the Social Auditor can expect a salary of between €25,000 and €40,000 gross per annum, depending on his or her course of study, previous experience and the region in which he or she applies.
The Social Auditor can then progress, with support, to the position of HRBP in a large structure by relying on the business experts.
